Life is a Competitive Sport

  • Briefly explain why you are interested in studying your topic:  
    • I play a competitive sport that requires control of emotions, stress, and mentality. I am interested to research if there are any studies that have been made to determine if the high levels of stress and anxiety from competitive sports affects the well being.
  • The overall question I plan on answering by the end of the project:
    • How do high-stress, competitive sports affect people’s everyday well-being?
  • Sub questions I will need to answer in order to answer the overall question:
    • Do high stress situations positively affect the well being of a person in the future?
    • How does self confidence affect the well being of a person?
    • Do strategies for coping with sport anxiety help in everyday life? How?
    • Do mental strategies used while playing sports help athletes live a happy and stress free life?
